Blue Tan Consciousness

Blue Tan consciousness is what moves us to look out for our neighbor and those less fortunate.  Often called the “Mother Theresa” Color, Blue Tan is the underpinning of all social reform and activism.  Every shift in social conscience has happened at the bidding of this deeply committed, nurturing quality, one that we all embody to some degree or another.

It is Blue Tan that is flowing through our cells every time we see a particular social need that is calling to us for attention.  We may notice a situation where the quality of life of some is being diminished by the actions of others, which stirs in us the desire to advocate for this piece of humanity.  The heartstrings of our nurturing instincts are being plucked and our Blue Tan-ness yearns to do something about it on a consistent basis.  We want those we care about to always have the same opportunities for a healthy life that the rest of us enjoy.

If we ever need to lure ourselves out of some self-consuming rut, giving our energy to some cause bigger than ourselves is sure to activate our Blue Tan consciousness.  Consistently devoting ourselves to some cause we feel deeply about, balanced with regular care of our own well-being is sure to leave us in the peak of Blue Tan health.

 Blue Tan People

Blue Tan people are the non-profit founders and leaders in our society who are highly influential on behalf of humanitarian causes.  They feel deeply for all life and are devoted to making the world a place where all living things have equal opportunities for a full and healthy existence, now and in the future.

Natural leaders that move others to take action, Blue Tans are people with a mission.  They usually have at least one, if not many, causes to which they are devoted.  Whether it is cleaning up the environment, feeding the poor, saving endangered species, fighting for equal rights, or some other arena where they can support the underdog, Blue Tans fervently lead the way.  Their passion for their cause comes out in their speech, writing, and actions, prompting others to volunteer time and energy to move the cause forward.

Nothing stands in the way of a Blue Tan’s mission.  They have little interest in self-serving projects and are not motivated by money.  They act, speak, and feel on behalf of their cause.  Because their communication has very little personal ambition behind it, they open people’s hearts to the importance of their mission and miraculously attract the help they need.

Blue Tans also help others get in touch with what moves them.  Many people are afraid to feel deeply about life, to care about something outside of themselves.  Blue Tans teach us to cherish the world, its inhabitants, and the future of humanity.  They instill in us the desire to make the world a better place.

Blue Tan people have a nurturing presence, a mothering nature that can be seen in how deeply they care for and take care of others.  They communicate tenderly, yet with a strength that does not “baby” people.  They provide what is needed and expect others to do their best.  Many people who receive or witness a Blue Tan’s care, are so moved that they often join in, passing on the same generous spirit to others that are less fortunate.

Blue Tan Environment people thrive in environments where people feel deeply about their mission in life.  Their best decisions will include how they can make the biggest difference in their world.

Blue Tan Expression people need careers where they can impact the social conscience of others.  They will do best when they are leading the way, challenging, and motivating people to champion the underdog.

Blue Tan Intimacy people will feel close to others with whom they share a cause.  In relationships, they need to be appreciated for their depth of sensitivity about the world they inhabit and will connect best with others who likewise feel deeply about life.

Blue Tan Life Force people will have lives that are rich and passionate when they are devoted to a cause and are leading the way for change in consciousness.  It is critical that they have something to which they can devote themselves every day.

Blue Tan Intention people are committed to making the world a more beautiful place by easing the burden on one Soul at a time.  Their devotional action and leadership weaves throughout everything they do in life.

 Blue Tan Exercises

  1.  Get a hearty dose of Blue Tan energy by watching a movie or reading a book   about Gandhi, Martin Luther King, or Mother Theresa.  Nothing more needs to  be said!

2.      Explore your own Blue Tan consciousness by spending a quiet moment considering these questions:

·        What are three ways I am making a difference in my world? (“Making a difference” based on your personal experience, rather than a concept you have of what that “should” be.)

·        What three social causes (currently active) am I most aligned with?

·        What are three social causes I would like to see people rally behind in the next 10 years?

·        What do I see as my unique contribution in these times?  In other words, what might be my one Blue Tan gift to humanity?

3.      Activate your Blue Tan energy this week by electing one way you can consistently help someone in need over the next seven days.  It can be anything.  It’s the spirit that it is done that matters more than what the action is or who it is for.  Do enough to feel you are making a difference, but not so much that you feel burdened.  “Burden” is not a Blue Tan concept.  Enjoy your experience!

4.      Whistle while your work!  Yes, whistling is a wonderful, consistent way to nurture your own well-being.  It doesn’t take extra time or money, but may surprisingly invite more energy and positive frame of mind.  Give it a whirl…or rather, a whistle.

5.      Float in Blue Tan energy with this visualization:

Sit or lie down in a comfortable position when you know you won’t be interrupted for a few minutes.  Close your eyes and breathe deeply and slowly.  Gradually let your body relax.  Visualize a large blue ball with a smaller tan ball inside it.  See it begin to vibrate and pulse, becoming a floating sphere of light that is hovering over the back of your head.  As you inhale, alternate saying and singing this affirmation, silently to yourself or out loud:

  “I feel deeply toward life.”

As you exhale, make the Blue Tan sound of a whistle, either silently to yourself or out loud.  If negative thoughts arise as a reaction to the affirmations, simply notice them and allow them to flow away, as you see the Blue and Tan ball of light gradually spread out from the back of your head until it fills your whole body and extends to form a bubble around your body.  Continue with the affirmations and sounds for 10 rounds.  When you are finished, slowly and gently bring your awareness back to the room, floating on the gentle waters of Blue Tan energy.
