Introductory Information for
The Color of the Week Program
This introduction is to provide you with a basic understanding of the ColorPrint Colors. By familiarizing yourself with these general concepts, you will be better able to benefit from each weekly call. Please review these “ColorPrint Basics”, so that instead of spending time reviewing each week, Jamie can devote the entire time to that week’s Color.
Because all the Colors are a part of our humanity, there is great value in understanding all of them. Some of the participants enrolled in The Color of the Week Program may not even know the Colors that make up their unique ColorPrint, but will still benefit from these key concepts. Most of the information you will receive, both on the phone call as well as available on line for you to print, will be general Color information. A few references to each Color as it shows up in a person’s ColorPrint will be included, but will not be the major focus of the talk.
Regardless of whether or not you know your ColorPrint, here are basic points that will help you in understanding some of the information you will find on the website and made reference to in our conference calls.
KEYPOINTS ABOUT THE COLORPRINT COLORS
- All matter in the Universe is comprised of energy.
- Light and color are energy. As light splits into different wavelengths, and vibrates at different speeds, it can be measured as color.
- There are fifty-two colors in the ColorPrint Personality Profiling System. Every Color is distinct and represents a particular spectrum of personality traits.
- Of the 52 Colors, there are 38 Physical Colors. This means they resonate to specific points on the human body. Regardless of whether or not a person has one of the Colors in their ColorPrint, they still have the point on their body where every Color “lives”. This is why all human beings have the ability to embody all the Colors, and will be happier and healthier the more they can access all these facets of their humanity.
- The remaining 14 Colors, called Inner Colors, resonate to the top/back of the head, or our lower back area. All of these Colors are two-part Colors, consisting of a Physical Color combined with either Gold or Crystal. (Example: Blue Gold)
- There are no good or bad Colors. Every Color is part of the light spectrum of humanity.
- There are certain Colors that are not fully appreciated or understood by various cultures and modern societies due to a specific bias or prejudice. One of the goals of spreading the ColorPrint information around the world is to help people to understand that, ideally, every culture will be more functional the more it embraces the multidimensionality of human nature.
- Every person’s ColorPrint is made up of a total of 14 Colors, 5 of which are Primary Colors and 9 are Inner Colors.
- An individual’s Primary ColorPrint Profile consists of 5 Colors: the Environment, Expression, Intimacy, Life Force and Intention Colors. Each of these aspects describes specific areas of a person’s life. They also correspond to the health of that person’s nervous system, glands, organs, joints/immune system/senses, and their tissues, respectively.
- The Inner ColorPrint is made up of nine of the Golden and Crystal Colors.
- Your Colors are hereditary and unchanging. You may go through different stages of comfort with your Colors during your lifetime, but the Colors themselves will always remain the same.
- Knowing your ColorPrint provides you with valuable guidelines to support yourself holistically. By understanding your true design, you will likely seek out circumstances that support greater health and well-being.
KEYPOINTS ABOUT THE UNIVERSAL ELEMENTS
- Each Color of the ColorPrint System corresponds to one of the Universal Elements.
- The Universal Elements are the natural building blocks of creation. Each Element refers to a specific quality of matter.
- All Colors pertaining to a particular Element have certain commonalities.
- Ideally, our life is in harmony with the elemental rhythms of our ColorPrint.
- Our body type is determined by the elemental make-up of the Colors in our Primary ColorPrint.
Every week you will receive information about each Color which will include its corresponding universal element, body location, sound, basic affirmation, emotional development affirmation, relationship affirmation, and physiological connection. You will also discover an essential oil, a flower essence, and 2-3 foods, which can be used as “medicine” for each Color. Some of this information will be available on the website, and some of it will be discussed in the conference call. Additionally, you will learn about the positive traits of each Color, as well as its shadow aspects. All of these categories are described below.
THE UNIVERSAL ELEMENTS
Earth Colors are known for their consistency, discipline, and strength. People with Earth Colors have large, strong bodies, and generally tend to move deliberately and methodically. Like an oak tree, they are deeply rooted and unswayable.
Water Colors have a nurturing and supportive demeanor. People with Water Colors have bodies that are soft and fluid, and they move through life in a graceful, flowing manner.
Fire Colors are intense and driven, preferring challenging mental and physical pursuits. The muscular, wiry bodies of people with Fire Colors fit their active lifestyle.
Air Colors are quick and ever changing, like the wind. The body type of Air Colors is thin. People with Air Colors tend to love new ideas and information, and they think and move rapidly.
Space Colors are expansive and creative and might show up as any body type. People with Space Colors literally need “space”, physically, emotionally, and mentally so they can continually move through the other four Elements of the creative process: Air - get an idea, Fire - take action, Water -support the project, Earth - ground the idea into form.
BODY LOCATION
All human beings are connected to the fifty-two aspects of consciousness (the fifty-two ColorPrint Colors) through their physical body. Because each Color resonates to specific locations in the body, they evoke certain emotions, thoughts and belief systems, and help to define the natural gifts of awareness of that specific Color.
The color body locations of the thirty-eight Primary Colors are divided into four quadrants: the Sensory Mental Colors on the front of the head, the Sensory Physical Colors on the front of the torso, the Motor Mental Colors on the back of the head, and the Motor Physical Colors on the back of the torso. The twelve Inner Golden Colors are all located on the rear of the skull, and the two Inner Crystal Colors are located on the sacroiliac joints. Every color is medicine for the area of the body where it is located and has specific connections to our overall health.
To see a chart of the locations of each of the Primary Colors, go to MyColorPrint.com, click on ‘The Color Of The Week’ and then click on ‘Body Location Chart for Primary Colors’.
SOUND
For every point on the body where a Color “lives”, there is also a resonant sound that corresponds to that point. When a person makes this sound, it balances and releases tension that is associated with that part of the body and/or the consciousness of that Color. Vocal sounds have been used since recorded history in prayers, mantras and in various healing systems. Each of the ColorPrint sounds can be used as a self-balancing consciousness tool and support increased function and health in that physical body area
BASIC AFFIRMATIONS
Every color has a key concept or message to remember about maintaining a state of health and well-being. The basic affirmations are intended to remind us of a particular Color’s medicine in our lives. They are especially useful when we have mental chatter that says the opposite of the color’s positive declaration. Affirmations can be spoken repeatedly out loud or to oneself to influence the left brain or rational side of our memory, and they can be sung to any melody to influence the right brain or visual side of our memory.
EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT AFFIRMATIONS
Each of the 52 ColorPrint Colors is a part of our emotional nature. Developing children all need to have healthy human interaction modeled for them in order to master each of these colorful parts of their nature. Children need to learn these ABC’s of being human in a nurturing, safe and sensitive environment. If, as a child, you didn’t get to witness these positive traits, or you received unhealthy messages, those negative memories and messages got stored in your consciousness at a particular wavelength of light/color. Using the Emotional Development Affirmations will help you recover those missed opportunities. These affirmations will “rewrite” the negative messages, and support you in reclaiming these positive aspects of your nature. The Emotional Development Affirmations are especially useful when you find yourself losing your emotional center, or getting “triggered” by others’ actions or emotions. As with the Basic Affirmations, both speaking and singing these affirmations will support your well-being.
RELATIONSHIP AFFIRMATIONS
We are all influenced by the company we keep. It is always easier to live with and around people who inspire us and uplift us, rather than bring us down and depress us. When you find yourself attracting people that remind you of your most challenging experiences, you may benefit from being clearer about who you wish to invite into your life. The Relationship Affirmations will remind you of the positive traits you want to welcome into your life, from the people you casually meet, the friends you gather and bring in close, and the business and hobby associates with whom you choose to connect. As with the Basic Affirmations, both speaking and singing these affirmations will support your well-being.
PHYSIOLOGICAL CONNECTIONS
The ColorPrint Colors relate to specific physiological functions and can be powerful self-healing tools for specific health imbalances. This information is a beginning place to consider when dealing with health challenges, and will give you clues as to which Colors are good medicine for you. By understanding this colorful language of conciousness you can support youself in regaining balance and maintaining vibrant health.
Because there are often multiple layers of tension, stress and lifestyle habits behind any given health condition, please understand this information is not meant to give you comprehensive evaluation of your condition. If you have a serious health challenge, please consult your physician or health professional. If you are interested in discovering ColorPrint Therapeutics as a way to support your healing and personal growth, please call the HLS office at (877)457-2882 for more information.
COLORFUL MEDICINE
All plant life has a vibrational signature that can be understood as frequencies of light or color. The ongoing development of the ColorPrint Materia Medica is the listing of these specific Colors that relate to essential oils, flower essences, foods and other natural medicines. The ColorPrint System points the way toward a deeper understanding of the energetic colorful light properties of humans, plants and animals and how to keep them healthy and thriving.
There are many essential oils, flower essences, and foods which correspond to each Color. We are constantly testing new substances and adding to our list. In The Color of the Week Program, you will discover one essential oil, one flower essence and 2-3 foods for each Color.
ESSENTIAL OILS AS MEDICINE
The use of essential oils predates recorded history. They affect the state of our physical, emotional and psychological health. Essential oils provide penetrating relief of a wide range of health conditions. They can be used aromatically, topically on the skin (alone or diluted in carrier oils), and occasionally internally as well. By understanding the ColorPrint Color characteristics of an essential oil, there is a deeper perspective available to the layperson for self-care use, and to the health practitioner for assisting clients. WARNING: PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY ESSENTIAL OILS INTERNALLY UNTIL YOU HAVE VERIFIED THAT IT IS SAFE TO DO SO WITH THE COMPANY THAT PRODUCES THAT OIL.
FLOWER ESSENCES AS MEDICINE
A wide variety of flower essences are now available from different parts of the world capturing the essence of a flower in a suspended solution (usually alcohol-based). The flower captures the colorful emotional dimensions of the plant and also the deeper psychological perspectives that are inherent in its colorful vibration. Just as bringing flowers to a sick friend cheers them up, the use of flower essences can brighten the day of anyone anguishing or caught in the shadow side of their nature. Understanding the ColorPrint characteristics of a flower essence gives a deeper perspective as to why this substance tends to diffuse trauma of any kind in a very subtle yet lasting way. Flower essences may safely be taken internally and used topically.
Unless otherwise noted, we will be referring to the Bach flower essences.
FOODS AS MEDICINE
Food can be medicine. Did you ever wonder why you are attracted to certain foods? What you crave and how you avoid certain foods can shed light on your state of “consciousness health”.
You can choose foods based on their Colors in order to get that vibrational medicine, and/or choose foods based on their Elements, and design meals that support the Elemental nature of your personal ColorPrint.
POSITIVE TRAITS
Each ColorPrint Color has a whole language describing the subtleties of that part of the human psyche. The range of traits associated with each Color are as wide as the human spectrum. Initially we identify the Positive Traits of a Color to emphasize the gifts available from that Color’s connection to our light nature. When it comes to supporting ourselves in life, we must, as the old motto goes, “emphasize the positive, and eliminate the negative”. By understanding the Positive Traits we have a picture of a brighter future to head towards in our unfolding Soul’s nature.
SHADOW TRAITS
When life is difficult, painful and overwhelming you may find yourself caught in one of the Shadow Traits of your colorful psyche. The fight of good over evil is an age old metaphor of this internal struggle every human goes through in their life experience. Sometimes the only way to overcome your Shadow Traits is to embrace them with the love and acceptance. Being stuck in the shadow traits of a Color is probably a coping mechanism you adopted at a young age. While this may have been appropriate at the time, it most likely does not serve you now. Being aware that you have a shadow is one thing, but living as if you are the shadow is another. Every human being must come to terms with the unevolved side of their nature and begin educating, supporting and loving this part of their being until it shines again.
If you find yourself struggling with a Color, it is helpful to know if that Color is “contracted” or “excessive”.
COLORS IN CONTRACTION
If your colorful development was arrested because of wounded messages being delivered, you may find that a part of your psyche has shut down to some degree. When this phenomenon occurs, we say a Color is contracted. This is common when the examples in life you received were less than ideal for this part of your nature to shine. This can happen to anyone regardless of their ColorPrint Personality Profile. To be contracted simply means that you have not been given a chance to see life through a clean window. As we know, any window can be cleaned if it is dirty or covered. The light shining through your nature is always present. It is a person’s own psyche that has been wired to close the blinds, cover the lamp and hide in the dark. With support, the negative effects of these old messages can be altered to messages that affirm your beauty and greatness.
COLORS IN EXCESSIVENESS
If it is your pattern to take things to the extreme, be hyper-vigilant or exaggerated in a specific Color, you are on the excessive side of the shadow traits. This occurs because at some point you got the message that you need to be more than you are. Perhaps people around you modeled pushing themselves to the point of exhaustion. If you adopted this pattern, you may pressure and stress yourself into action. Once you are aware of this fatiguing pattern, you can begin to make a shift back toward the center, and what was once a driven-to-the-brink quality can become one of relaxed action.
EXERCISES
The exercises that you will find in the written information you get from the website each week are for your benefit and enjoyment. They are by no means required and you will not be asked to share your experiences. However, if you would like to discuss your thoughts and insights, we invite you to post them on the Color Of The Week bulletin board on the website. You will find a link to the bulletin board on The Color of the Week page.
QUOTES, BOOKS, MOVIES, PROFESSIONS & STORIES
Please feel free to share on the bulletin board. At HLS, we are actively searching for good examples to include in our books. Thank you in advance for your insights.
